I imagine this being found as a dusty, black labeled test pressing, smelling of bongwater and dried blood... They warp a Neil Young song brilliantly (I think he would approve). And I could see “Children Of The Sun” on the back end of Volume 4.

The rhythm section is in a hypnotic groove, the bass with an extraordinary gravely tone anchored in doom, while layered lead guitars dance and interweave in jams reminiscent of a hazy sun-baked Woodstock. Add in some existential lyrics which call to mind Albert Camus' The Stranger (which inspired The Cure's Killing an Arab) and what you get is a superb album. Summer of Love?... more like Summer of DOOM!

While not quite at the same level as their newest release The Purple Skull, this album is very solid in its own right. They are the best Italian doom band in my opinion, and that is saying something at the present time.
